Therapist Advises:
“Hugs can be contagious,
epidemic may break out.”

Lowell, MA. Local therapist advises hugs can be contagious. Hug therapy is probably one of the most effective and least applied therapies in practice today. It is a well-documented fact that hugs can increase the hemoglobin (red blood cells) in your body. An increase in red blood cells is beneficial in fighting disease and stress related illness. Couples and friends can practice this therapy most anywhere or in the privacy of their own home. If you prefer, you can also seek professional and skilled treatment.

Many critics have suggested that hugs are inappropriate in some settings and one could misinterpret this form of therapy. Many critics have also not found or offered a solution to the isolation many people feel due to shyness, loss of a loved one or loneliness due to a number of circumstances beyond their control.

We feel with a real effort on everyone’s part an epidemic may break out and it could spread rapidly among the general population.
